The GMT-Master II is the ultimate urban watch. It features a dedicated 24-hour hand and a 24-hour scale two-tone rotating bezel that displays a second time zone in addition to traditional time. The wearer can see their current location and time on the other side of the world at a glance, allowing them to develop a closer connection with their “somewhere,” whether it’s a special place or memory, or plans for a future journey.

The functionality of the GMT-Master is reflected in its name. "GMT" stands for Greenwich Mean Time, the mean solar time measured at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London. Since 1884, it has been the prime meridian used to determine 24 different time zones around the world.

Introduced in 1982, the GMT-Master II had the same features as its predecessor. The watch's triangular-tipped 24-hour hand and 24-hour scale bi-directional rotating bezel allow the wearer to read the time in another time zone. The difference between the two models is the adjustment of the local hour hand. On the GMT-Master II, it adjusts in one-hour increments - independently of the other hands and without stopping the watch.
